Following diplomatic efforts by President Jozef Aoun with the U.S., Israel has released Lebanese prisoner Malek Kamal Ghazi, a member of "Hezbollah," who was detained in October 2025.
The freed prisoner was handed over to the Red Cross at the Naqoura crossing, and then to the Lebanese army. He is currently on his way for medical examinations.
According to "Israel's Channel 12," Israel is expected to release five Lebanese prisoners today in coordination with the United States as part of ongoing negotiations.
"Channel 12" reported that the issue of detainees and missing persons is central to the discussions between Lebanese and Israeli parties, with initial lists exchanged in the last round of talks in Rome.
