President Joseph Aoun has condemned the renewed Israeli attacks on the city of Nabatieh and its towns, which resulted in the death of innocent victims and caused severe damage to the Ministry of Finance building and the destruction of Ghandour Hospital.
Aoun emphasized that this targeting represents a serious escalation that goes beyond the repeated breaches of the ceasefire agreement and the framework agreement, affecting this time the Lebanese state institutions and service facilities that cater to citizens' affairs and interests, in addition to a hospital and health centers.
He pointed out that targeting the Ministry of Finance building, following the previous attack on the State Security Center that resulted in casualties, reveals a persistent pattern of assaults exceeding so-called military objectives to purely civilian administrations and health centers, reflecting a clear intention to disrupt the continuity of Lebanese institutions.
President Aoun held the Israeli side fully responsible for this ongoing escalation, calling on the United States and the international community to take urgent action to stop these breaches and hold those responsible accountable.
Aoun paid tribute to the innocent martyrs, wished a speedy recovery for the injured, and reiterated his full solidarity with the people of the Nabatieh area and the staff of the affected administrations and institutions.
