The United Arab Emirates has launched a campaign to aid Palestinians affected by the war in the Gaza Strip, under the slogan "Compassion for Gaza." The campaign aims to establish centers for gathering and packing humanitarian relief packages with the participation of humanitarian and charitable institutions, volunteer centers, the private sector, and all segments of society in the country, along with media outlets.
This campaign is launched in cooperation with the World Food Programme and in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Community Development, as part of the humanitarian efforts to provide urgent assistance to the Palestinian people.
The "Compassion for Gaza" campaign also aims to show solidarity with Palestinian children and families affected by the ongoing war and to alleviate the humanitarian situation, lifting the burden from the most vulnerable groups, especially children, who make up nearly half of the population in the Gaza Strip (over one million children). This will be done by providing them and their mothers with essential needs, as well as health supplies and sanitation materials.
The campaign will kick off next Sunday in Abu Dhabi, under the supervision of the UAE Red Crescent Authority, at the Abu Dhabi Ports Hall in Port Zayed from 9 AM to 4 PM, with plans to organize it in other Emirates later.
