The Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister, and Head of the Presidential Court, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, informed himself during an inspection tour in Expo Dubai City about the final preparations for hosting the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change "COP28" and the administrative, logistical, and operational preparations for its events, which will commence on November 30. During the tour, accompanied by the Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and President of "COP28," Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, as well as several members of the National Higher Committee overseeing the preparations for "COP28," Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed inspected the venue for the Global Climate Action Summit and the locations of the pavilions of countries and organizations, as well as the halls that will host the meetings of all parties to discuss the negotiation texts. He listened to the organizing team's explanations about the main events expected at the conference, which is anticipated to have over 160 heads of state and government, 85,000 participants, and more than 5,000 representatives from media outlets accredited by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. The "COP28" conference holds particular significance as it will witness the response to the first global assessment of progress in achieving the goals of the Paris Agreement, according to the Emirates News Agency (WAM).
