Ukraine Announces Agreement to Use Croatian Ports for Grain Exports

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba announced that "his country has reached an agreement with Croatia to use Croatian ports on the Danube River and the Adriatic Sea for exporting Ukrainian grain." After a meeting with his Croatian counterpart Grelik Radman in Kyiv, he stated, "We will now work on creating the most efficient routes to these ports to make the most of this opportunity," adding that "every open door is a real and effective contribution to global food security." Kuleba noted that "the issue of arms was at the forefront of discussions with his Croatian counterpart." He continued without providing details: "I will just say that there are specific agreements that will be implemented soon." Ukraine is currently relying on land export routes through European Union countries, in addition to an alternative route via the Danube River. Russia had earlier this month conducted attacks on infrastructure along the Danube River.
