With tears in his eyes, Vinicius said: "I'm sorry, I just want to play football, and I want to do my best for my club and my family, and I never want to see blacks suffering." The Brazilian has been subjected to racist abuse from fans at Spanish stadiums recently, with the latest incident occurring against Osasuna, where fans shouted: "Death to Vinicius."
It is noteworthy that Vinicius scored two goals during the match and went to celebrate in front of the Osasuna fans to respond to their chants against him.
