Intense Shelling from Lebanon to Israel with Approximately 100 Shells

On the second day of Ramadan, Lebanon launched the most intense shelling toward Israel, according to the Israeli army's statement on Tuesday. The Israeli army reported that about 100 shells were fired from Lebanon into Israel on Tuesday, covering most areas of the region. This shelling is described as the fiercest from Israel's northern neighbor since the beginning of the war in Gaza. The "Hezbollah" stated, in response to the aggressions against our people and our villages and cities, the latest being in the vicinity of Baalbek and the martyrdom of a citizen, that we shelled the air defense command base in the Kila barracks and the missile and artillery base in Yoav, as well as the artillery positions in the area with more than one hundred Katyusha rockets.

Israeli media reported that the Israeli Air Force targeted locations in the village of Houla in southern Lebanon and in the areas of Marjayoun. For its part, the Lebanese National News Agency stated that an Israeli airstrike targeted the town of Al-Sarirah to the east of Sidon. At least one person was killed and others injured when Israel launched raids near the city of Baalbek in eastern Lebanon on Monday, according to media reports and official sources. The governor of Baalbek confirmed to "Reuters" that at least one civilian was killed and others injured after the strikes.
