Member of the 'Strong Republic' bloc, MP Ghayath Yazbek, expressed in a statement that it's perplexing how the resistant parties have learned nothing from supporting Sinwar or the retaliatory war for the late Khamenei. Their consciences remain unshaken by the scenes of widespread destruction or the villages and cities emptied of their inhabitants, whose youth, women, and children they have killed. Their eyes remain dry despite thousands of deaths and injuries. Now they return triumphant from defeat, ever since the announcement of the memorandum of understanding between the 'Great Satan' and the harbinger of doom, they have continued to distribute the spoils. One is prepared for the presidency, another compliant for the premiership, and the current government expected to resign with its 'filth,' forgetting their participation. The President is to withdraw from negotiations before resigning, leaving sovereigntists to prepare for imprisonment. They crown this verbal chaos by proclaiming that Lebanon has officially become an Iranian province, proudly displaying its ruins among the resisting Eastern countries, from Houthi lands to Somalia and North Korea.
Hold your horses, brothers. In Lebanon, there is a vast and diverse popular majority backing a state that will enforce its sovereignty on its lands and people. In the Lebanese linguistic and legal perspective, foreign allegiance is condemned, and defeat is not victory. Returning to the state is not an option but an obligatory duty. There is no going back to October 7 as if the crime of defying the state and dragging its people into peril and destruction never happened.
As for the state, we say: Implement your sovereign decisions and pursue your negotiations. Do not be deterred by complacent tongues or the improvised mix between the American and the Persian. The Lebanese people are with you, truth is with you, and whoever's people and truth are with them, they need fear nothing.
