President Aoun Commends Trump's Efforts on U.S. Independence Anniversary

On the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the United States' independence, President Michel Aoun of Lebanon sent a congratulatory telegram to U.S. President Donald Trump, wishing him and the American people success, prosperity, and continued progress and achievement.

In his message, President Aoun stated: "There is no doubt that the historical relationship between Lebanon and the United States is old and deep-rooted, as old as the humanitarian and social principles and values that have unified their visions. Today, it is revitalized thanks to your determination and relentless efforts to restore stability and security to the Middle East in general, and to Lebanon in particular. We appreciate your efforts in this regard and urge you to continue steadfastly supporting Lebanon's rightful and just causes, its institutions, army, and people, so that we may close the chapter of wars, tragedies, and pain, and open a new chapter of hope, peace, and stability."
