Lebanon's President Joseph Aoun met with Gendarmerie Commander General Jean Awad to discuss the country's security situation and the operational work of the gendarmerie across Lebanon.
Camille Chamoun, head of the National Liberal Party and a Member of Parliament, visited the presidential palace with a party delegation to express support for the Lebanese state and its legitimacy.
Chamoun emphasized support for official negotiations and efforts to end the war, indicating that "peace is Lebanon's best option."
He also affirmed that "adhering to the federal proposal as a constitutional option organizes Lebanon's diversity within a single state, under one flag and one army."
