Lebanon's Foreign Minister, Yousef Raji, currently in Cyprus, emphasized that "no individual, organization, or armed group should monopolize the state's decision." He stated, "Lebanon has decided to close the chapter of decades where it has turned into a battleground for settling the conflicts of others." He added that it is time for Lebanon to stop paying the price for wars it did not choose, and conflicts it was not a part of.
Raji highlighted that "decisions related to Lebanese national security and foreign policy will be made in Beirut... and only in Beirut."
He asserted that "no country can fully recover unless the power over war and peace lies solely with its institutions."
