Israeli army aircraft assassinated Hamas political bureau member Jamila Al-Shanti during the continuous bombardment of the Gaza Strip early Thursday morning. Al-Shanti was a member of Hamas's political bureau and the widow of martyr Abdul Aziz Rantisi, one of the founders of Hamas. She was a member of the Legislative Council and the first woman in Hamas's political bureau in Gaza.
