Strained Ties: Trump and Netanyahu's Rocky Relationship

Recent weeks have revealed that the relationship between U.S. President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is not at its best.

The tension that surfaced recently between Trump and Netanyahu is not new, as similar strains emerged last year just days before the announcement of a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip and a prisoner exchange.

"Everyone's Tired of You, Bibi"

A new book has disclosed details of a tense phone call between the U.S. President and the Israeli Prime Minister. Authored by journalists Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan, the book titled 'Regime Change' reveals that Trump sharply rebuked Netanyahu during the call, even hurling insults at him.

In the call, which also included Jared Kushner and White House special envoy Steve Witkoff, Trump reportedly told Netanyahu, "Everyone's tired of you, Bibi. Every Jew is tired of you, even the two Jews on the line are tired of you," referring to Kushner and Witkoff.

These revelations are part of a chapter from the book which delves into significant events from the first year of Trump's second term, detailing insider political dealings and relations among leading figures in the U.S. and abroad, as well as White House dynamics.

The book's release coincides with renewed tensions between Trump and Netanyahu over the U.S.-Iran agreement and the conflict in Lebanon. In the past weeks, Trump has called Netanyahu a "crazy bastard" and criticized Israel by saying, "You don’t have to demolish an apartment every time you’re looking for someone."
